Notes

This trail is very hilly, rolling and scenic. It winds around five different lakes, through stands of maple, aspen and balsam. There are a couple fairly steep hills requiring intermediate skiing skills. A shelter with a fire ring is located on the trail.

Leveled, cut, and tracked all loops today. Lots of leaves and other forest debris in areas. Track might take a bit longer to set up with warmer temps. Overall good conditions.

Received a couple inches or so of very fluffy snow since trail had last been groomed. Cut and tracked all loops. Some leaves and other forest debris in areas. Overall, very good conditions.

All loops were cut and tracked this afternoon. Lots of leaves and other minor debris had accumulated on the trail - re-setting track helped eliminate some of that. Good conditions.

Four plus inches of new very fluffy and dry snow today. Set track on all loops this afternoon. Lots of debris on the trail from the previous high winds and some thin areas. Overall conditions range from fair to poor.

A few days of warm temperatures (especially 50+ degrees yesterday and last night) and very strong winds really took a toll on the trails. The good news is that we didn't lose all of our base - almost the entire trail is still snow covered. The bad news is that the remaining base is icy, full of debris, and very thin in spots. All loops were cleared of down trees and large branches today. There is no track set and no further grooming or track setting will be done until we get more snow. Conditions are poor.

Good coverage and great for recreational skiing now. Wasn't groomed this morning but was the other day. Definitely needs a few more passes with a little added weight and a bit slower on the sled on the downhills. No post holing with my poles but I can kick straight through.
