Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Upper trails were hardpacked and fast. Occasional patches of ice on the south facing slopes. No bare spots. Tracks solid and fast.
Lower manmade snow was freshly groomed and tracked this morning so really enjoyable skating. Thanks!

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Skating and classic were great fun on Sunday for first day of MYXC! Tracks set on both upper and most of lower trails. Skating is fast and so much fun with just enough bite for control. Temps so mild and trees are fog frozen with hoar frost.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Groomed the majority of trails today. 2, 2.5, 3.75 and 5k loops all packed and decked. Had planned on setting new tracks on bittersweet but had an electrical issue with the track setter. I fortunately recognized it before wiping all the bittersweet track but apologize for there not being track on the first leg of bittersweet. Did not do black widow, main street or exit ramp today. Grooming plans Will try an get those trails done hopefully tomorrow. Very few dirty spots up top. I will be using my good skis when I go out this afternoon.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Decked all up trails today with the Ginzu. Deck is in good condition with a few dirty spots but overl very nice. Scrubbed and reset classic track on bittersweet. They are thin as I was not wanting to go too deep with the cutters but very skiable as the race team practiced up there today. Will reassess later this week as we hopefully get more snow.

Night
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Packed and decked the natural snow trails. There are not tracks currently on the natural snow trails as we will need to groom again shortly and existing track was snowed in. PB groomed all man made snow trails and set new track. Man made trails are good ski quality. Natural snow trails I would recommend B skis. No rocks but there is some slight debris on the trails.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic Secondhand
[ Good skis ]
Lower machine made snow recently groomed and tracked. Excellent condition for classic and skate. A couple dirt spots easy to avoid. I did not ski on natural snow, but talked to a few people who had: they said it is skiable, but don't use your good skis.

Night
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Lower loops with man made snow have been tilled and tracks set. Good skis!
Upper trails have inch of snow over thin base and previously set tracks. But caution! There are some windswept stretches of ice on Service Road and exposed dirt in a few other places. Rock skis if venturing off the tilled snow.

Night
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
PB groomed all man made snow tonight and it is in excellent condition. Set track and skate deck. The natural snow trails are skiable but it rough condition after our excessive warm-up last week. Would recommend rock skis for natural snow and good skis for man made.

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Did a couple laps on machine-made snow with the Pistenbully to break up the ice. Rapid freeze-thaw cycles and some light rain made the trails icy, and the light snow (almost an inch) that fell was blown around a lot and did not cover evenly. Should be good for some fast skiing as we have granular snow now.

Grooming Scheduling
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Trails are in good to very good condition. All Natural snow trails have been packed with each snowfall and feather boarded. We will start gentle ginzu grooming them soon. All lower trails that have man made snow are in excellent condition. I set track on the man made snow tonight with the PistenBully in preparation for our high school race tomorrow. Lower trails will be closed till the completion of the races tomorrow around 2pm but all upper Biathlon and GIA trails will be open. We ask that you avoid race trails when accessing them. We will have race officials available to direct you on how to access non race trails.
