Morning
Observation
Still no grooming at Brown Deer Park. Track consists of hard pack ice with some drifted snow! What a same we finally get some snow and the skiing is terrible/no grooming since Sunday.

Afternoon
Observation
[ Trails Open: All ]
Took a look, no grooming. Which is no grooming since Sunday when it was rolled again. Inquired at the maintenance building and the guy said they all left for the day. I asked for a text when grooming would be done and encouraged since it's wind blown and difficult in most sections.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Slow going today. No grooming and lots of drifted snow made for a difficult ski. Good to be out in sunshine.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
Groomer was out again rolling and added to length of the loop. Now just shy of 5 KM. Little uneven and some drifting but with the better implement it should even out the track. No classic on other side but people are skiing in tracks. Woods has a lot of trees bent with the weight of snow making it difficult to pass.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Skied both sides of the road. The classic-only trail was windblown in the open areas with icy or slush spots in the woods. However, it was all skiable and well-covered (except little spots in the woods). Skate deck on the golf course side was very blown over; fine for a slow classic ski without tracks, tough for skate-skiers. That said, it was a beautiful early afternoon ski.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
Eastern corner around the parking lot is basically ice. Several portions have also been trekked by dogs and non-skiers. Northeast stretch in the field felt less groomed and more like an intrepid (classic) skier traced a path from memory. About 80% of the outer loop felt just fine.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
I started just as the groomer started to roll. Would have been impossible without groomer. Heavy wet snow 34 degrees. The loop is 3.7 KM. This snowfall and cold should make for a reasonable choice for the coming period.
