Drove by on my way home. Groomer had been out. Did not ski. Brown Deer probably got 7 to 8 inches total.

Cold and wind blown. No grooming for several days, maybe last Friday. Classic track of golf course drifted. Skate deck drifted.

[ Good skis ]
Blowing and drifting now has covered a good portion of the deck. It's easy to lose the trail in the drifted areas. I'm guessing no grooming since Friday. I skied one loop, then called it a day. Was nice to see some hearty kids out skiing in the classic tracks with their parents. Booyah.

New snow and no grooming at the park. Nice light at 4 pm made for pleasant lap but it was cool with a breeze.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
Most of the classic track on the golf course was snowed in or in very rough shape. Did a lot of bushwhacking like we used to do in the Northern Kettle Moraine. A bad day skiing is better than a good day at work.

Did you ever think you'd hear a skate skier say, hooray fresh powder! Me neither but today skiing was amazing with a couple inches of light snow helping you to get some really good glides in. I was your trailblazer today doing two loops. You'll notice a few places where I wiped out. I corrected those the second time, that was the result of losing the trail and ending up in too deep of snow! Enjoy! As of 9:30 was not groomed... But enjoy it!

At sunrise the past two days skiing on the golf course has been wonderful even with cold temperatures. Firm but not icy with minimal debris. Excellent tracks for classic too. Tracks in the woods to the north of the golf course are also good. Looks like there was recent grooming- thanks again to the Milwaukee county parks staff.

Excellent conditions on skate track. Groomer just started making passes at around 1 pm. Unsure of classic in woods.

Twelve degrees, waxed with Swix special green wax. Grip and glide were both decent even in very cold conditions. Track was very good, but threrewasa fair amount of oak leaves in the track.
