Skied just before dusk. Really great conditions - Firm deck for skating. Classic track looked excellent. Use larger pole baskets if available. Thanks to the groomers!

Classic lanes were set - soft in some areas due to recent snows but generally in great shape with good coverage. Many thanks to the groomers, providing terrific local skiing even in the cold conditions. Great place for first time skiers to get out and enjoy the moderate terrain and scenery, right here in Milwaukee.

[ Good skis ]
Got there about 11 am and skate deck looked freshly groomed with only a few skaters before me. The low temps made the glide a bit slow, but it was in great shape. Had on 3 layers and stayed plenty warm, evening getting up a sweat. West wind was light, so not so bad with the windchill.

Not groomed yet as of 12:45. Probs 3” fell with the last bit frozen ice / sleet which made for a modest glide. Wind blown in some areas.

Conditions at 5:30 pm skate deck some what chewed up and un-smooth by then. Not helped by walkers, snow-shoers and the woman out skijoring with her dog on the skate trail. Lot of air still in the snow deck, so even though I used poles with larger baskets, still punching through in a lot of places. Thanks to the groomers who are doing their best with what they've got. Skiing there after dark much easier with a good headlamp. While I skated, the wife skied the classic trails on the northside of the road and said the tracks were in excellent shape.

Very good conditions. Groomer made two passes with great results. The best streak of groomed snow at this location ever.

Grooming done at 10:00. Kudos to the groomers. The only reason I say B skis is trail runs along paved golf cart path and snow is soft in places. Wonderful place to enjoy winter activities.

The conditions this morning (8:30am - 9:30am) were okay to good. A good grooming is needed to even out some of the deep spots, foot prints, dog droppings and grooves. You'll get some good glides in but be careful with the spots of snow that try to eat your poles... nearly lost one a few times.

There's a classic trail running parallel the skate trail, in excellent condition. The classic trail north of the road was also very good - just a bit icy in a few spots, and the poles tended to sink in the deep snow every now and then. Many thanks to the groomers for their work!

Groomer made at least two passes with the big roller on the skate course. He was setting the classic on the golf course side and I think had just finished the woods or broth side. Lots of snow out there. The big roller left a relatively uneven surface and poles went through the deep. But hey, can't complain about too much snow and conditions will improve as time passes.
