Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Classic tracks are firm and well defined through out, except at the back to front trail intersection. Only two other skiers there when I was there. The skate lane showed signs of a lot of traffic , but in great shape also. It was a great day to be out skiing!

Best conditions of the season at bridgewood. Nice wide trails, 100% coverage, firm and fast skate deck. I skated, but there was also nice looking classic tracks flanking both sides of the skate trail. Thanks groomer! Thank him here, and thank him with $$ in the donation box :).

Decently firm deck, a few soft pole plants. Groomed a few days back I think. A bit of blowing snow on deck, but love that this is open, and that the big loop is back without all of the cross lanes. Tracks were set and looked good (thin in spots but skiable). Thanks groomers!

Very good snow coverage through out the trails. Some areas have well defined tracks that are very good. There are also many wind blown areas that need the track reset. The skate lane is the same way. May be the extreme cold is finally on the way out?

Went out just before dusk last night and got to enjoy a really nice sunset ski. The good news - the trail is back up to 100% coverage! The not so good news - it's actually like 135% coverage.... the wind has drifted enough snow to nearly erase some portions of the trail. If you know where you're going, you can stay on top of the skate deck for the most part, although I found myself in the deep stuff a couple of times. The classic tracks were very nearly filled. Hoping a fresh groom will pack down all the drifted in snow and get that coverage to stick around a while!

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Skate lane and classic tracks groomed Monday night, has set up real nice. Wind should be low this week so things should stay. Skate track needs another groom to level things out (fairly choppy). Classic tracks have sticks and patches of ground but only a handful of spots. Watch for a couple pieces of gravel at the bridge crossing. Side note: 2.5 miles of classic tracks at Memorial Park in Neenah. Some exposed debris again so B skis or less.

I skied the trails and it was very wind blown. Very hard to skate ski because it was deep snow. People have been out classic skiing so there are tracks for that. I would recommend skate skiing someplace else until it is groomed again.

Headed over to bridgewood today around 4:30, hoping that the groomer had made it out yesterday or today to pack down the snow that fell Saturday night into Sunday. Lo and behold - he did indeed! Not only had he groomed, but it appears he’s looking to expand the trail a bit! No classic tracks were set. Unfortunately, much to my chagrin, it seems that although at least 2” fell on my driveway 5 minutes away, the golf course held far less snow. In some places the difference between the groomed skate deck and fresh snow was < 1/4”. I suspect the wind blew most of the fresh snow off. As such, there are some large dirt patches, avoidable only by skiing of course. Thanks a million to the groomer!

Skied a couple loops tonight. Was brutally windy. The trail has been freshly groomed after the weekends new snow, and it has set up nice and firm but unfortunately the heavy winds today knocked quite a bit of debris down. Some really nice sections, but some cluttered with leaves and needles.

Trail is gettin pretty boogery. Slow, old snow. Lots of debris and grass. Found a dirt patch that sent me tumbling. Didn’t realize my bindings were ‘quick-release’. Think that’s it for Bridgewood until we get some more snow. Donation box has been put out, so bring your cash to support the groomer!
