Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
I used good skis cuz that's what I went in, but given some thin spots, a bare ground stretch up an incline coming off the fields loop, and all the debris that was down, I'll suggest B skis. Trails looked recently groomed, were packed and tracked, snow was fast. Some bigger divots, but due to Powder keg this week, more traffic. Still in great shape for a virtual race, easy skis, and getting out there. Classic tracks were also set and seemed firm. Sure, I mentioned thin spots, but the pine cone and needle debris were the bigger issues. The thin spots were thin, yes, but covered for now. And the lone bare spot mentioned about was fairly easy to skirt (the race course doesn't go that way, so you're good there). Appreciate the groomers work and those that set up for the event; I had a good ski!

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Pretty firm skate deck. More thin spots are starting to accumulate, most notably on the hills. Lots of pine needles/pieces down in one spot on the west side loop. Classic tracks were set in pretty much throughout. Keep an eye out during warm weather.

[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
New snow from Friday freshened up the trails; it was much needed. Trails were tracked decently, last groom was reported on Thursday. Some thin spots on the hills on the expo side, occasional debris, but nothing terrible. If careful, good skis can be used out there. Classic tracks were set and looked in good condition. Although not the fastest ski, it was fun cutting through fresh snow.

[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Trail was pretty cut up with lots of ski tracks. Base has a lot of thin spots, was a lot more difficult to avoid those spots; hopefully we get more snow soon to cover it up and smooth it out. Classic tracks were almost gone in most spots.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Skate deck was in fair condition; some soft spots and unevenness, some thin spot too, but for the amount of snow we had, I think it was the best possible. Groomers did a great job for what we have. Very skiable snow and trails overall. There was some scattered debris down, and again, thin spots, so I'd opt for B skis, but if you're a pretty vigilant skier, you could probably have used good skis as well. It was quite and smooth and fun ski, get out there!

Morning
Observation
[ Trails Open: Most ]
Tails where rolled after Sunday night's snow/rain event which will help re-establish some base. We will need significantly more snow to set the classic tracks. Fat bike trails are in good riding condition.

Afternoon
Observation
[ Trails: Closed ]
Mostly but not completely wiped out by the warm up. There is still a lot of coverage but also a lot of bare ground. Downed trees have been cleared but there are abundant branches and sticks on the ground.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Snow was soft, noisy, and slow. Trails were pretty decently packed down as they could be, given the conditions. Some thin and bare spots, but pretty easy to avoid. Some debris down in the wooded areas of the trail, but that's to be expected. Overall a decent ski; if anything, I got a good resistance workout.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
At 3:00 pm the overall conditions for both classic and skating were good to even excellent in some stretches. The skate deck on the east side was not used much and there weren't many ruts you'd expect from the deep snowfall and now warm conditions. The corduroy was in good shape. The classic tracks were well-set and pretty firm and were 99% clear of leaves and sticks. A few 3-foot-long thin spots on the tracks that are out in the sun or under a thick tree canopy.

Classic skied this morning and conditions were soft but pretty good! Could probably use good skis but would recommend B skis, as there some thin spots but they’re easily avoidable. Tracks were set everywhere except for the trails around the field. Get out before temps warm up!
