Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
It cooled down enough last night to allow me to get out and groom the East Side Trails this morning. The groomer smoothed out the clumps of snow that dropped from the trees and buried most of the tree litter that fell in the last couple of days of warm weather. It appears that conditions should be very good although the tracks may not set up much with the warm weather. The West Side tracks firmed up nicely on last Friday night and remain it good shape. Happy Holidays to all.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Widened and tracked the West Side Friday and did the East Side this morning. Skied the West Side late afternoon Friday. By widening the trail we pulled a bit more snow on the trail so there are some soft spots but still very good conditions.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Attempted to groom this afternoon but the engine on our grooming snowmobile locked up. At the shop till after Christmas but we hope to come up with an alternative power source to groom before the weekend.
Skied the West side trails after taking in the snowmobile. There are 2-3 inches of light snow on the trail. Tracks are not crisp as they would be after grooming but are still well defined and usable. Conditions were very good although there is an occasional soft spot. The woods are gorgeous and with a little loose snow on the trail, it is a very intimate northwoods ski.

Night
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We skied the east side trails Friday night and they were outstanding! Classic only, tracks were firm and groomed expertly. An intimate narrower trail that was a joy to ski. A magical night with light new snow falling.

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We got too much snow for grooming once again so I dragged the trails Thursday afternoon. Friday morning I was able to groom the trails even though I got stuck many times. Conditions should be fine although perhaps a bit soft. The woods are beautiful after the last snow. The parking lot is cleared.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We got a little more snow than I could use the groomer on so I dragged the trails and used the tracking sled to groom the trail. All segments tracked although the track lifting is not done on corners or some hills. Conditions should be very good or better.

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Groomed all trails this morning with the groomer. Previously I had been packing and leveling and setting a rudimentary track which resulted in decent conditions but now we have the real thing. Conditions look like skiing should be terrific though perhaps the base may not be quite as hard as normal. The parking lot is cleared. Go ski!

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
There has been a lot of effort put into packing the trails. East side is completely packed and tracked. The west side is completely packed and the main trail is tracked. Tracks are well formed everywhere and have an occasional soft spot. Overall the trail is firmer than expected. Overall conditions are very good.
