Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Groomed today. Received 5" Tuesday night; it groomed up nicely with an overall 4-6in base in most places. Again, the north half of the park received less; so under the red and white pines on the Pipeline is still shallow/bumpy. Groomer's Recommendation is to checkout the Meadow Trail loop by the Park Office. Groomed nice and wide for skate, level and hilly options to skiers choice, and the track set really well tonight. Should be some superb skiing! Meadow: "Excellent" groomed for skate and classic; set track today. This will be wonderful skiing for all. Pipeline West: "Good" groomed for skate and classic; set track today. A little shallow in low areas near Murphy Lake but pretty good overall. Pipeline East: "Good" groomed for skate and classic; set track today; better but still a little bumpy on the big hills. Track was a little hard to set; need more snow. Red Granite: "Good" rolled for skate and snowshoes. Vahterra 1&2: fresh powder for backcountry. Takesson 1&2: fresh powder for backcountry.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Groomed today, mainly smoothing out sections but also set track in a few spots. The north half of the park still needs some more snow in the heavy hemlocks and pine to cover up some low spots. In the south half of the park where more snow fell, the Meadow Loop will be wonderful for some early winter skiing. Meadow: "Good" groomed for skate and classic; set track today. Pipeline West: "Good" groomed for skate and classic; set track in a few spots. Pipeline East: "Good" groomed for skate; but still a little bumpy on the big hills. Red Granite: "Good" groomed for skate/multi trail. Vahterra 1: Track set for short distance but groomed rest of the way. Vahterra 2: Not rolled/fresh powder. Takesson 1&2: Not rolled but packed with snowmobile.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Received about 12" over the holiday weekend. Today I rolled all ski loops in the early morning except Vahterra 2 and Takesson 1 and 2. Again rolled all loops in the afternoon. Seems to be firming up. This afternoon I started to set track on Vahterra 1 but developed equipment issues. Will try to fix equipment early Tuesday morning with goal to set track on Vahterra 1 on Tuesday and Meadow Loop by Wednesday depending on snowfall. Individual Loop Conditions Below: Meadow: Good condition, with some sticks poking through but avoidable. Groomed a short skate loop at beginning. Will give an update on Tues/Wed regarding plans to groom/track this pending equipment fix. Pipeline West: Good but only rolled. Pipeline East: Fair but still need more snow and overnight firming. Watch out for some sudden dips on eroded hills from FEMA events; trying to fill these in as much as I can. Red Granite: Good but only rolled. Vahterra 1: Track set for short distance but groomed rest of the way. Vahterra 2: Not rolled/fresh powder. Takesson 1&2: Not rolled but packed with snowmobile.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, Rock skis ]
Received about 4" of wet snow Sunday night thru Monday night. Rolled all loops Tuesday morning; very thin base throughout the park. Sticks/grass showing everywhere except campground section mentioned below. A short loop (sites 8-33) in the North Campground was rolled yesterday and groomed today for those desperate to get out skate skiing. It is thin, with some dirt mixed in along road shoulders. Access from Ballfield Parking Lot.

Morning
Observation
[ Trails: Closed, Rock skis ]
Trails have varying amounts of snow but not enough to start rolling. If you're looking to get some early season skiing in, the Meadow Trail at the south end of the park by the office, will be your choice but be sure to use "rock skis" with only about 4 inches being measured. Towards the middle of the park, the Vahtera Trail only has enough snow to cover the leaves. On the north end by the Doughboy Nature Trail, there's only a dusting covering the ground.
