Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Fair conditions -- skiable but pretty skied out. Trails would definitely benefit from being regroomed.

All loops packed, groomed, and tracked. Tracks may be a little soft until they set up. Oak leaves are now covered up with the fresh snow.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Was able to recondition and track the Buckthorn, Lakeview, and Pine loops. No other loops were groomed as tracks were in fair to good condition. Oak leaves continue to be a nuisance on some of the loops. We plan to groom again after the next snow.

I wanted to start at the "Hilly Loop" off the hospital parking lot, but found it was not groomed, so I went to the other end off Hospital Road. The tracks are in good shape, you bet, except that leaves and pine needles are starting to accumulate. My waxless skis worked good, but somebody using kick wax might pick up a lot of debris. There's been some traffic, but the tracks aren't beat up.

[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Newly groomed this morning (thanks, Joe), with a good base, so conditions were excellent, you bet. Very little forest litter and only a few blackberries leaning over the track.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Last night's -17F degrees temps set up the rolled trails nicely. All trails have tracks set. Lots of snow but the base is now firm.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
There is a ton of snow out there on the trails. Even though everything was rolled yesterday, we were only able to track about one third of the trails because of the deep snow. The rest of the trails were rolled again today. Hopefully they will be firm enough tomorrow to set track on the remaining loops. On a positive note, the oak leaves which were a problem on some of the loops are now covered with fresh snow.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All trails rolled today after about a 7 inch snowfall. With cold temperatures the trails should set up nicely. Grooming plans: Trails should be groomed and tracked Tuesday midday.

Well-groomed track, very good condition except a little soft in some places. Only a little forest litter. Pleasant skiing, you bet.
