It was 25 degrees at start as I skied the Blue Loop to the Voyageurs Park Oberholtzer intersection. The snow was mostly granular crusty, not sheet ice. Although I recommend rock skis I used my good waxless skis without damage by going around rocks on snow. I took my skis off for a couple 100 yard melted grassy areas and a few hills. But in most of the woods I was able to ski and glide fast without concern for damage. When I ended it was 36 degrees. Pictures show bad spots but full snow right after short patches.

After the 40 degree temperatures, the snow is grainy and frozen. It is not hard smooth ice but more like sand paper. So, avoiding falling and road rash was a priority for me today. That said, it was a lovely sunny morning for a fun ski at 22 degrees. My waxless skis worked well with long, fast glides. Double-poling worked well too. A lot of small debris but mostly good snow coverage, though icey. I skied the outer Blue Loop and Orange.

Beautiful, sunny, March day for a ski at 49 degrees. Good kick with fish scales and decent glide. I did not sink down on kicks. Snow wasn't suctiony/sticky. Must have been just wet enough. There is plenty of snow base today but alot of twigs, leaves and cedar boughs in trail. I did Green trail to Blue return and around Red.

A beautiful sunny day at two degrees above zero and calm. I skied Green to Blue Return and around long Red Trail to Yellow and Orange Trail. After one inch of new snow yesterday, everywhere I skied has been skied into the previous set track. Still good glide/kick combo today.

Thanks to the groomers who did an excellent job setting new classic tracks a few days ago. The best glide I have had for weeks. Skater tracks looked like it was good for them too. I skied the Blue Return Loop and around the Red. It was fun to be able to ski Red Loop again with good snow and track.
