Pioneer Creek Trails run through the scenic Vilas County Forest. Trail location is in the Conover Town Park, 1/4 mile east of U.S. 45 on the south side of County Hwy K. Amenities include a heated restroom.

All classic tracks were reset and skate lane combed with a beautiful corduroy. All trails should set up nicely for tomorrow with very nice trail conditions. Enjoy before the Artic Blast arrives!

Firsthand: Classic

The classic tracks were firm and pretty fast despite the cold. There were a few leaves and pine needles, but that just adds to the kick. No rocks or sticks. Didn't skate, but the deck looked great. The first 1/2 mile runs beside a snowmobile trail, but after that, the ski trail is quiet, beautiful, and well laid out.

The trail was cut and most tracks reset this morning. There is still a fair amount of debris scattered through out the system. Tracks are in good shape.

I cut, groomed and reset the track this morning. I've been working to repack the trail due to a few visitors on snowmobiles! Very nice conditions with a few soft spots on the bigger 4 mile loop. Enjoy the weekend!

Packed, groomed and reset the track today. There's one thin spot when you come out to the highline. Trails are nice with some scattered debris. Get out and ski!

Groomed and set a track today for the first time this year. Overall conditions are fair with a few thin spots and plenty of pine and oak debris around. Pioneer Creek has expanded to just over 11.3 miles(18.18K) of groomed trails. A new map will follow in a week or so.
