Pioneer Creek Trails run through the scenic Vilas County Forest. Trail location is in the Conover Town Park, 1/4 mile east of U.S. 45 on the south side of County Hwy K. Amenities include a heated restroom.

Groomed and set track on most of the system today. Planning to do the big loop tomorrow morning. Very nice conditions with minimal debris to worry about. Enjoy!

Amazing trails. Excellent skiing for both classical and skating which my husband did. Some of the best skiing conditions this season. Thanks Don for the well groomed trails. So glad this gem of a trail is back in operation!

I classic skied about 3/4 of the trails and would have skied them all had I not run out of daylight. Great tracks with a little bit of debris here and there. Kudos to the amazing job grooming... it was much appreciated. I will definitely be back.

The Conover Chamber of Commerce is advising that the Pioneer Creek Trail system is unusable at this time due to a logging operation that is complete. We are awaiting more snow.

Pioneer is only partially open at this time. We have logging going on in the County Forest. The ski trail intersects the plowed road in four locations, please use caution in this are. With that said, I groomed and set tracks today. Conditions are very nice.
