Trail had been packed and rolled - skier tracked (quite narrow tracks). Picked up downed branches as we went along the outer loop. Some grass poking through but mostly fully covered. Good conditions for first opening on the trail this year. Thank you groomers for getting out so quickly after the new snow!

Snowed about three inches today. Skate lanes only, no classic track set, not enough snow. Trail is skiable but just barely, lots of bumps and thin spots. Hoping for more snow next week...

Great for early season, some grass and sticks poking through especially in the classic tracks. Definitely worth the drive up from Duluth with pals :).

Trails in reasonably good shape with some grass and small rocks at the surface in a few places. Great skiing but could use more snow. 3K lighted trail in good shape.

The 5k loop had good coverage with just a few thin spots in the Balsam Firs near Hwy 2. The East side was a bit lumpy and the tracks disappeared in a few spots.
