Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ B skis ]
Started from the golf club house at 11:30, went up to the purple and orange loops, then returned on the west side of the green golf course loop. Very good skate deck, the new 1/2 inch of snow covered up almost all of the exposed dirt. Some oak leaves here and there, but only a nuisance.

Skied the orange trail at 3PM and I was the third skater since grooming. Very nice base, snow is a bit crunchy but just fine. One or two spots with some dirt or debris coming through but easily avoided.

Skied the golf course trails only. Everything was in excellent condition. Looks like it was groomed earlier in the day. No bare spots. A bit of tree debris in various spots but nothing major. Overall excellent condition. Thanks to the grooming team!

Skied most of the trails around mid-afternoon, just before the high school meet started up. Really nice conditions over most of the trail system, with just some scattered thin spots, mostly in the "expert" sections by the ski center. Grooming was quite recent and had a wide skate deck along with double classic tracks in many segments. Be aware that most of the trails are two-way (or people might not know about the one-way sections), some map posts have summer maps, and the winter trail layout doesn't exactly match with published map. Really a nice ski, especially on the golf course sections.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Trails were tracked and groomed. Skate deck looked great and was firm for the sections I was on it. Tracks were set nicely and overall classic skiing was good. I only skied the golf course side so not sure if tracks were set on the park/campground side. Only downside was the amount of oak leaves already in the tracks. Amazing how quickly that happens.

All trails at Bunker had been rolled. Conditions were soft, but good. Snow coverage was good on all trails and the golf course side was a bit more skied in. Nothing had been groomed yet and tracks hadn't been set. Should be really nice once the groomer gets out and tracks are set.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We groomed at Bunker Hills Park, Golf Course and Skijor today. The skate decks should be in good condition throughout with occasional thin spots in the park and skijor. Classic track will remain in overall good to fair condition with some thin spots throughout.

The skijor trail was groomed for skate but had no classic tracks. Was in good shape with a couple of visible dirt spots on the north side, but easy to see and ski around. Trail was in good shape and made for a nice day of skiing.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Bunker Park: Still dealing with limited base in spots. Overall, skate deck is in good condition that should firm up after the overnight lows tonight. Classic track will be in fair condition with occasional poor spots. Bunker Golf Course: More consistent base meaning good skate deck and good classic track overall. Skijor: Limited base but should be fair to good skate deck with occasional thin spots.

Skated the purple and orange loops today, the green golf course loop yesterday. Golf course was much better, with only occasional dirt. The classic track looked good too. The purple and orange loops have much more dirt, especially on the hills. Avoidable for the most part, but will deteriorate more with warm temps. Most disappointing is the hiker tracks, and even two horses! Make sure to look at a ski map, because the trail markers out in the park can be confusing.
