It was great to be able to ski at Carver again. The parks description when I left was pretty accurate. Throughout there's a layer of powder over ice. In the wooded areas of Sugar Bush, Sky, and Lake there was plenty enough to get an edge in, and the ice seems roughed up, but in the open areas of Lake it was very thin powder on hard ice, barely enough to double pole across. Nice skiing in the wooded areas; the open areas were more of an adventure.

[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
First time skiing all of the trails at Carver, and I was impressed. Great conditions for skating throughout - and classic tracks looked shallow but decent for most of the trails. A few thin spots on Grimm and King but easy to avoid. I used good skis without issue.

Best conditions at Carver in years. I skied Grimm late morning while the groomer was out making a great track even better.

Surprisingly very good conditions for both classic and skate skiing on Grimm. Big downhill is icy, but otherwise it was great!

Very nice skating and classic skiing.. Good coverage, just a few spots where the wind blew the snow off to expose the underlying ice. Skied lake and sky.

They rolled pretty much all the trails and groomed Lake, and sky with set track. Grimm and king were pretty soft without set track. Good enough for B skis. I used my good skis. Winter wonderland out there very nice!

Went there around noon. They had just finished grooming. Icy in some spots because of the wind but mostly good throughout. King loop was not groomed at all for some reason, but everything else was in good shape. B skis still.

Trails are in decent condition considering the weather, with some leaves and debris, no bare spots. Groomed recently. Skied sugar bush, lake, sky and nature center.

[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skied most of the trails. Great coverage and well groomed for a lot of the trail. The tracks were in for most of the trail and looked good. Usual for this time of the year, uneven in spots along with some leaves and twigs. It was starting to get warm so it was slow in some of the sunny spots. Best ski I have had this season. Enjoy!

Great to be out this much this time of year. The trails started out relatively packed and icy, hard to get an edge, and then started softening as it warmed up. Some trails had quite a bit of leaves and other tree debris, especially on the Sky loop, and there was one spot on Grimm where it seemed like dirt had been kicked up and mixed in with the snow. Overall though good conditions with complete coverage.
