Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Groomed the skate deck on the wooded portion only of the Silver trail. The open Prairie section is hard and icy. Hard and icy throughout trail system. South facing slopes and pine tree areas are thin, icy, or brown. Caution on downhill areas. Classic track hard and icy and washed out in some areas.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Battle Creek Silver, WC, and Gold trails were groomed this morning. Nothing was done to the classic tracks as they seem to be holding up although they are shallow. The trail is in good condition considering the weather we have had. All down hills are level with good snow coverage. Up hills are great. I did go over the Ski Games trail, the skate deck is ok, tracks are not very good.

Hats off to the groomers who continue to do great work at Battle Creek! Freshly groomed (entire system including ski games) and I’d estimate 90% of trails covered with snow, with an icy remainder (though I never felt like I was gonna die), and a couple patches of ground showing. Rock or B skate skis recommended. Not much of a classic track left. Super fun!

Skated Battle Creek this morning and found it to be very good. Most of the Silver and Bronze trails have lots of snow and was groomed to perfection. There is enough loose snow on the hard pack areas to get a good push off. Only one spot were the sun did some damage but that area is easy to step around. Downhills are in good condition with a good flat run outs. It was a nice surprise this morning.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Groomed the skate deck and set new classic tracks on both Bronze and Silver Trails. Skating is good and classic is fair to good with a few leaves. Very skiable on the Bronze and Silver Trails right now. Until we get new snow, we are planning on grooming only the Bronze and Silver Trails.

Gold, Silver, Bronze and Ski Games regroomed for skate and classic. Just a very few bare and glazed spots; small amount of tree debris but overall quite good.

My son and I skied the lighted loop in nearly perfect conditions, excellent grip and glide. A few very small ice patches on south facing slopes and two spots of grass. Skate deck looked excellent.
Lights went out just as we were taking off our skis.

Thank you to the groomers at Battle Creek this year--you have done an outstanding job. I had another great classic ski this evening at dusk. A few oak leaves on the trail in a few places, but excellent tracks throughout. Skate track looked perfect, too.

Fresh pow! I was one of the first skiers out there when after the groomers came through. It was really great out there. Good snow and nicely groomed. Sometimes the snow was just a little too deep and my skis sunk in so slow in spots, but otherwise it was pretty rock and roll.
