Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All trails rolled and grooming in progress. A deep and solid track was in place for about 5k. Great skiing. I never saw the groomer but I could hear it out on the trails. Beautiful snow at last.

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
All open but no grooming yet. Breaking trail in racing skis was pretty fun with three inches of fluff on top of a firm base. Still snowing.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Conditions were pretty solid. The extra snow we got on top of the groomed stuff helped a lot. Still quite icy, and not the greatest glide given the cold temps. No classic track set yet. There were a handful of spots with a few rocks showing or a bit of tree debris, but all of it was minor and completely avoidable.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Very fun conditions! Base is thin but it is all very skiable. Mother nature was helping out with the snow throughout the day and it looked like everyone was having a great time! There was a few bits with some pebbles peaking out on the shortcut back to the parking lot from the south. Forested sections are soft but very forgiving for beginners. Definitely worth the trip!

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
All trails have been groomed for skating, no classic tracks yet. Coverage is good but the base is pretty thin. I classic skied and conditions were good with soft sections on occasion. Not enough traffic yet for a skied-in track.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Rock skis ]
About 4 inches of dense snow covered by a layer of ice. The trail was rolled. This broke up the ice but left it on the top of the snow. Rather unusual classic skiing that I found not worth it. Skating might have been a better choice but it did not look good either. O'Brien does not have the equipment to deal with this.

[ Trails Open: Most ]
From DNR groomed snow trail report: The Park received 8 inches of new snow on Friday December 10th. The trails were rolled on Saturday and are in fair condition. If the weather cooperates the groomer will be out on Sunday morning. We do not expect to lay tracks because of low snow depth. Ski trails closed to hiking and snowshoeing. Be sure to purchase the ski pass because enforcement will be strict this year.

To the person that skied-in classic tracks-Thank you so much! Made for a lovely first ski of the season. Soft fluffy snow and beautiful weather.

Looks like WOB recieved about six inches of snow. What I did today resembled skiing on soft dry snow that was getting rolled while I was there. The only tracks were skier made. I didn't venture out to the hill loops and I was somewhat surprised by how few skiers were out.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Rock skis ]
All trails rolled. Old school fun skiing the roller trails. Good control and the downhills were not scary. Not good skiing as far as groomed trails are concerned but quite fun anyway.
