Once you get past the part of the Wetland trail by the Savannah Campground conditions are good. However, at the beginning a pond is melting and a stream is flowing over the trail. Detour or step carefully.

Phenomenal ski conditions! Thanks to the groomers, who have maintained these trails. They are well-packed, well-covered, and well-tracked. I skied with my nicest skis and had a blast. Perfect day for a ski on great trails!

Groomers (use of photo by permission) finished entire system by 2pm today. Great set track every where we skied even the usual thin spots: Woodland Edge, Hardwood Hills (photo), Rolling Hills, Wetland. Forest litter almost non-existent! The one inch of new snow folded in nicely with existing snow for a perfect track and covered up any leaves.

Excellent ski on a cold day. Full coverage, no bare spots, good classic track setting. Skate deck looked good. Bathrooms were open at Interpretive center.

The trails were in good condition, though not great condition. Not sure when new tracks were last set, but it’s been some time. Skate deck appeared fresh but not classic tracks. And of that skate grooming wiped out the tracks in a couple spots, other areas were just wearing thin. A little leaf cover but not bad. It’s nice that seemingly few skiers visit this park, that keeps even old tracks in decent shape. Come visit.

I skied the Wetland Trail this afternoon. It's been windy so there are oak leaves in forested areas; they will stop you in your tracks! Open marsh areas are fine.

Grooming was good, classic track set and skating lane had been scratched up. What surprised me was how hard the surface is. The tracks are quite hard and fast. Even with blue kick wax there were sections with little kick. The oak leafs are also appearing. Was expecting cold slow conditions but the classic track was pretty fast. Falling would hurt today.

Great sunset ski at William O’Brien today before the proper cold sets in! Wedge Hill, Savanna and Wetland Trails were groomed with classic track set. Skate deck was groomed on the Woodland Edge trail with skied in tracks. No grooming since the snowfall on the outermost trails.

Skied about 11 AM. Tracks are generally good to fair plus (some areas worn, icy, debris laden). Still a very pleasant ski. Greatly enjoying our new twin track waxless skis.
