Same 2.5k loop open but the snow was in much better condition! Great ski. No mashed potatoes on hills and no ice. Windchill was pretty serious on the flat stretches heading SW, but very manageable overall. Quite a few skiers out, including some exceptionally hardy new skiers learning in a big Loppet class.

Fantastic time skiing at Theo today! Firm skate deck, some patches of ice but nothing sketchy. Classic tracks looked good and my two friends skiing classic said grip up the climbs was good. Chilly but awesome to have the skate deck so firm!

Lunchtime ski and the tracks were fast! 2.8km of tracks open. Classic is set and immaculate. Music playing on the loudspeaker. Just glorious. Get out there today before the high school races tomorrow morning.

Fantastic conditions this morning - nice firm and fast skate deck, solid classic tracks, much faster than I expected considering the cold temperatures. Thanks for all the excellent grooming, Loppet team!

Best day of the year, conditions wise, for me so far. The deck was firm but not icy, and the classic tracks looked outstanding. Plus, with so many snow guns firing, the surrounding trees and earth looked wonderfully wintry. And at the end of my workout, the sun came out. But it's about the trail conditions, and I really wish I didn't have to work today. The snow was primo.

The classic tracks were in good shape this morning along with the skate deck. I just want to give a shout out to the Loppet Foundation and Loppet Adventures for providing an enjoyable ski opportunity for so many of our city kids! It was so much fun to see a great group of 3rd and 4th grade kids having an exciting time skiing the trails today at Theo!

Trails are well taken care of! There are a bazillion kids on the course today. If you're looking to put in a few hours of work, it may not be the best choice. It was heartwarming to see so many kids interested in skiing, but heart wrenching that classic was near impossible. Go get hooked on skiing kids!

At Theo, trails brought joy and mirth, Though sugary hills tested worth. The deck was groomed well, So I never once fell, For Nordic, it's heaven on Earth.

An inch of skied in powder over a firm base. I didn't find any ice. They were gearing up for a high school race around 3 pm today, but I was told that the course would remain open.

Great morning at Wirth for classic, waxable skiing. Took all the klister off due to more fresh snow and got the Swix 1814 to work pretty well. Layers of special purple underneath. Hard track, a little slow, but fun, even on a gray day. Thanks to the snowmaking and grooming crew at Wirth. Keep us moving on our skis. Yay!
