Night
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Only the small loop on the lower stadium is open. Good skiing but some chunks are a little icy somehow, even though it's been above freezing. Crowded in the afternoons, I'd recommend skiing in the morning on B skis.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
Skied 50 laps this morning bright and early. Was first one on it at 5:30 and had the loop to myself for almost 30 min. Still about a 350 meter loop with a double track down the middle. It was pretty fast with the warm temps, and seemed to be holding up fine despite the warm weather. By the time I left around 6:45 there were probably 25 people out including a group lesson and a handful of Washburn skiers (GO MILLERS!). Looks like there’s lots of snow piled up so guessing the loop will get quite a bit larger as soon as we get a couple of cold days!

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Did the short loop in the lower stadium. Nearly empty around noon. Tracks were deep, getting soft, but it was great to get back on snow.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
A beautiful sunny afternoon at the lower stadium. Just about ideal early season conditions with a smaller than expected crowd cranking out many laps. It appears the grooming staff have been busy with a fair amount of piled snow ready for expansion beyond the current 250m.

[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
Trails extended a little bit from last night and were in pretty good shape at 8 a. Began to get a little crowded and sugary after that.

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
Got out early this morning to give the loop a few rounds. Track was smooth, and it was great to be on snow! Thanks to the Loppet folks for all the hard work to get things open! It’s about 200M loop and not super wide, so could get crowded. Looks like there are a bunch of other piles soon to be groomed, though, so imagine it will get better as the week goes on!

We are excited to announce we will have a small section in Lower Stadium open tomorrow (Friday) for skiing! Try out your ski legs and burn off that turkey. A huge thank you to our trails crew who worked through the holiday to make it happen. Ski passes are required - purchase season passes online. Daily passes available at The Trailhead tomorrow!

The Loppet Foundation fired up their snowguns for the first time this season on Sunday evening! As of 10 pm the snow was piling up in the stadium.
