[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
I skied just after the rain stopped and a sign said opened but ungroomed. Earlier skiers had broken trail on most of it especially by the lesson loop. The heavy wet snow made skiing slow but was not sticky. Full coverage except thin under the bridge to the sledding hill.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
The Valley Trail remains open but ungroomed. Grooming has finished for the season. Thank you for making the most of this warm winter at Elm Creek!

Trails were not groomed so very icy and full of ruts. Still skiable, but gnarly ski. Tracks set where enough snow and rock hard. Some really nice double pole sections. A few sections of the trail (e.g. top of the wall) with very little coverage. Looks like that's it for grooming at Elm this year.

Open but rutted and icy. Trail open but not groomed. Not worth the drive to get here. It would be nice if they would post this information.

Late morning was ok - the tracks were soft enough for hill climbing, and not too slushy. Some dirty spots, but not many leaves. The valley cutoff was closed, but everything else was open. No tracks set on the donut.

[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
The Elm Creek glacier is rapidly receding. The full machine made loop is still open, other than the Wall bypass, but the conditions are deteriorating. The skate deck is soft and slow, dirty in spots, turning gray in spots. It was freshly groomed this morning, but the park crew drove the Gator over some of it around 10:00 am. Classic tracks were set from the chalet south, but not towards the Donut, which is turning brown/gray, and is narrowing. The tracks are shallow/icy in spots and soft/slow in spots. Good skis can still be used without worry, but maybe not for much longer. This is definitely skiing for the spring skiing lover, but not for everyone.

I skied this morning and the whole snowmaking loop was well groomed. The skaters were flying around the loops. I was the only classic skier at the park. The tracks were icy early on, but warmed up nicely to give more kick.

Sunshine and blue skies, light breeze, 32°. One of the best skis all season! Fast, firm, but could get an edge. What a blast! Thanks to the groomers for covering the dirt at the top of the donut by the chalet. Should be able to get a few more days of skiing in with very few skiers out there to churn it up. 2 1/2 K open.

Kudos to the groomers for continuing to give us great conditions. They moved snow over to the end of donut to clean that area up. Everything had plenty of coverage and no ugly dirty areas. We had fun skate skiing fast on the hard surface but could still edge fine. Tracks were firm and nice too. Gorgeous morning to be out and see a few others with big smiles too!

Surprisingly good conditions but would definitely recommend skiing in the morning before it softens. Thank you to the groomers for keeping the trail open and in good shape!
