A nice set of trails with rolling hills. The first lighted trail system in the metro, it still attracts a lot of after-work skiers.

Pretty decent coverage on the skate trail. There is a shallow classic track but it's down to the ice layer underneath the new snow in many locations. Odd grooming I have to say. The classic tracks are very close together on some of the two way trail sections leaving a narrow skate lane and on some of the one way trails the classic track is often in the middle. Skate lane is uneven in many locations.

French was groomed and tracked by the time I finished up my ski around 11. Excellent coverage on the skate deck, a few shallow spots in the classic tracks. Thanks to Three Rivers for making the most of the few inches of snow we got!

Certainly rock ski conditions, but quite good considering what's left to work with. Quite a bit of tree debris on the trails, a few spots with gravel pulled up but good glide with about 95% coverage. Good enough for a pleasant ski today.

Skied this morning and it was a bit rough. The starting area has a curb that is exposed. The loop I did had tilled in gravel, wood chips, dirt, leaves, and branches. You can get around the whole park just expect it to be slow and run over things. I think it is the best we could ask for with the conditions that are here. Awesome job groomers! Just know its rough because the warm weather and now thin snow.

Skiing was surprisingly good- some bare spots and debris, but the groomers did a great job and definitely better than I had expected. I skiied the full circuit and had a great afternoon.

The crew had groomed today (likely for HS meet later this afternoon) and even reset some of the classic tracks. There are definitely rocks showing in the typical areas and I'm sure with the warm weather today they will keep popping up. It was icy on the land bridge and maybe 10% of the meadow area but I found the ski overall to be great and the hills on the back side are in the best shape snow wise if that's what you are after. Just go with expectations that you WILL scratch your skis so bring a pair that are already marked up. Thank you groomers for keeping the natural snow trails usable!

Tough trail conditions. I thought it would be a lot better since the nice weather to soften the trails but that was not the case. Very icy and rocky in spots.

Skated about 8 km. Deck is getting icy in more and more places. More dirt visible in places. Leaves and twigs but easily skated around.

I went out at noon. Classic trails are debris filled with chunks of ice and not good at all. People were skating and that seemed O.K. The classic trails are gone in some places and I was out of the tracks going downhill and hit a chunk of ice that took me down. If you go, be careful, it's very icy.

The groomers at French have been working their magic, they groomed this morning and the deck was in good shape for skating with some debris and rocks here and there but mostly avoidable. I classic skied and while there were tracks the wind did a number on them with debris in it. I'd recommend skating but if you classic you will be fine if plan to do a lot of striding / double poling in the skate deck. I brought B skis but rock skis would have made more sense with all the twigs. Was wishing I'd skated, looked like a fast and fun day to be there!
