Boulder Nordic Sport Midwest Updates

We had an incredibly successful equipment demo day at Hyland on Saturday. Feedback on the speed and stability of our Madshus Redline skate skis was overwhelmingly positive. Most of the demo skis featured our S1.3 grind (skate) and C1.2 grind (classic), which are our go-to universal cold grinds for Midwest snow. Glide wax for both skate and classic skis was just our standard hot box treatment of one part Ski*Go LF Blue with two parts Holmenkol Ultra Mix Blue. This was running fine literally right out of the box.

For kick, we started out with Ski*Go HF Blue in the morning and progressed to Guru Extreme Hallgeir and Guru Red throughout the day as temperatures rose and the track got skied in and sunny. We are excited to get more people out skiing on the Madshus Redline classic skis because they are such a fun, easy ski to kick and they still have great glide especially in softer conditions with their soft and supple tip and tail. Monday night after work, Dave skied 20km at Hyland kicking on Ski*Go HF Red. He said kick was great start to finish, even in the drizzle.

Stop by the shop at 90th and Penn in Bloomington to demo skis, boots, and poles for free. Hyland is just minutes away! Or, for $30, you can rent demo equipment for 48 hours and we’ll put that money towards a purchase if you decide to get new equipment.
