2013 CCSA Championships Feb. 16-17

Schedule of Events:

Friday, February 15:  Course Inspection and Training
Course will be open for inspection between 10 am and 5 pm (CST).
Coaches meeting will take place at 6 pm in the waxing building at Mt. Itasca.

Saturday, February 16:  Classic Races - Start Lists
11 am:  Men’s 10km Classic Individual Start
1 pm:  Women’s 5km Classic Individual Start

Sunday, February 17:  Freestyle Races - Start Lists
10 am:  Women’s 15km Freestyle Mass Start
12 pm:  Men’s 20km Freestyle Mass Start

Entries:

Entry Fees are $30/skier for both races and $20/skier for one race.  Send rosters to Jed Friedrich at [email protected] by Tuesday, Feb. 12 by 5 pm Central Time.  Make checks payable to Mt. Itasca Nordic Ski Association.

GETTING TO MT. ITASCA
DIRECTIONS
Mt. Itasca is located just five minutes Northeast of Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
From Grand Rapids (west)
• Take Hwy 169 northeast, toward Coleraine.
• Turn left on Curley Ave. 
• Turn left onto Co. Rd. 61, and go 1/2 mile.
• Turn left onto Mt. Itasca Drive. 
• Stay to the left at the fork in the road.
• Nordic HQ on your left, drive straight ahead to Alpine Chalet.
From the east
• From Hwy 169, turn right onto Curley Ave.
• Turn left onto Co. Rd. 61, and go 1/2 mile.
• Turn left onto Mt. Itasca Drive. 
• Stay to the left at the fork in the road.
• Nordic HQ on your left, drive straight ahead to Alpine Chalet.
From the north
• Coming from the north on Hwy 38, turn left (east) onto Co. Rd. 61 just after Gunn Park and 
  travel about 4 miles.
• Turn right onto Mt. Itasca Drive just before you get to Coleraine and the Hockey arena

Accommodations and dining are generally available in Grand Rapids, MN.  There are

FACILITIES
Wax Rooms
Two wax rooms are located in the Nordic HQ Building.  They will be locked overnight.  Access to the trail is directly outside the HQ building.
