All trails groomed for skating, not enough snow to set tracks. Use B or rock skis, lots of debris on the trail.

Conditions: Fair, use B skis. Shallow base with some grass exposed on the golf course and tree debris in the woods. Better than I expected.
Still worth the trip! Eight other skiers in the hour I was there. Neat to see a gentleman and his dogs pulling a homemade grooming device. They covered about 4-km that I saw. Planned on going to Coulee Exp. Forest and glad I checked out Hixon first.

Good. Skate deck is firm, loggers drove a pick up truck down the road to the dike and back. Classical tracks on the golf course are drifted in.

Very good. A few thin spots on the golf course and debris where they were logging. Classic tracks in most places. Use B skis.
