Observation Scheduling
[ Trails Open: Most, Rock skis ]
Due to the number of patrons coming through the chalet and the deteriorating trail conditions, the chalet will be closed for season beginning Tuesday, March 28th. We will be grooming the skate lane only, where able, on Tuesday morning. We will not be resetting any classic track to the limited amount of snow and icy conditions. This will be our final grooming for the season. Thank you to everyone who visited us in helping us achieve another successful season!

Considering the freeze thaw cycle, s anything groomed was really good for skating. The classic tracks were good to bad depending on the trail. We skied leos, m and n, y, and back side of t l and found all great for skate. There are sections that are real sketchy for classic with areas of ice and little to no snow, and then areas down the same trail that are real fun. Minor waves in the snow from groomer trying to get through the ice but it looks really solid. All in all good ski on good skis.

Excellent conditions with only a few icy spots. Groomer had been out early in the day and chalet attendant advised again later to soften up some icy areas. Skied the majority of the trail system and even had a personal best on the full Alps, only possible because the skate deck was perfectly groomed very recently. Thank you to the groomer for all the diligent work this very challenging season with the most difficult environmental conditions.

Skated the 20 k and the full alps segments. Trails had been tilled on Friday and skate deck was firm even, and very skiable. Very good conditions. Unfortunately we just didn't get new snow. Windy conditions caused debris on the trails but it was no problem to get around. Was very glad to find the alps fully groomed again and with firm and flat skate deck it was yet again a big bonus morning to be able to go the full distance. Thankful for the continued grooming being accomplished. Light ski traffic on the outer trail segments.

Skate deck was scratched, and rock hard beneath. Classic tracks were full of leaves, twigs, etc. due to wind. Some tracks were tracked, some snow filled, and some days old.

Very nice conditions in spite of recent weather. Get it while we can! Classic skied the 10k, icy base with about 1 inch of new snow. Some debris on trail due to wind but not an issue. Skaters where very happy too given the recent grooming which made the downhills pretty manageable.

Bonus Ski this morning. Best ski base of the season. Found trails freshly groomed and in excellent shape. With well over a foot of new snow recently it felt like mid winter this morning. Fresh corduroy trails today. Bonus was the entire Alps was groomed. With the new snow not transformed yet it was very comfortable on the downhills as the new snow makes for slower conditions. Good time to work on step turns. Slalom turns didn't work and took a few diggers. Good thing the deck was soft.

Half the trails were groomed, must of been multiple passes with all the snow, the other half most likely soon. The classic tracks were super deep and the well formed track was lots of fun. The skate deck was soft, no surprise with the deep snow. Great afternoon to ski.

Our groomers did a great job of repairing trail damage from vandalism a few nights ago. They have regroomed the skate deck and are working on the track. Carpe skiem. Beautiful out there.
