Notes

Decorah has a variety of loops and trails. Groomed for skating and diagonal. Beginner to expert. Very pretty along the Upper Iowa River. Oneota Drive Recreational Trail has 1 mile of lighted trail and winds along the upper Iowa River and scenic Phelps Park bluffs. Palisade Park offers great views of Decorah and has 2 miles of intermediate to advanced trails. Van Peenen Park offers 4 miles of classic double-track.

Carlson Park: Great snow with classic tracks on xc trails. Only knock is that the grooming is very narrow in parts and it is impossible to not skate over the classic tracks, especially uphill. Other than that very nice!

Luther college ski trails are bad. Only a few sheltered loops that are even moderately skiable. No grooming, just packed snow.
