Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Nicely groomed in anticipation of the weekend. A little debris on trails, nothing serious. A very few spots were soft. I skied both the designated ski trails and the multi-use trails, which were groomed as if for skate skiing. Both trail systems were good for skiing.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Just finished grooming all the ski trails for skating and classic. By tomorrow morning it should be firm and fast. Lake Wissota has really pretty trails that are not too wide and run through a variety of habitats from pine plantations to prairies. We don't have much for hills but Hey... the Birkie is over, now ski for fun. In addition to the ski trails there is a network of "multi-use" trails that are groomed for fat bikes, snowshoes, dog walking or whatever. Bring the family, there is something for everyone.

The grooming crew finally got all of the trails in great shape for both skate and classic skiing. We will continue to clean them up or re-groom as needed. Come out and enjoy them.

A 16" packed base with all trails groomed for both skate and classic. Wissota State Park has great trails for beginning and intermediate skiers with moderate hills. It is mostly wooded. There are also separate multi-use winter trails for snow shoeing, biking, or hiking.

Just got off the phone with a park guard and was told the trails would be groomed this afternoon. With the snow that fell last night, and continues to fall right now, it seems safe to assume LWSP will be a solid destination for good skiing this week.
