Trails had not been regroomed as of 1:00 pm. Skate deck was beaten up over much of the course and some was drifted over, with just a few sections of relatively smooth corduroy. Snow varied widely in speed depending on the sun exposure but was typical for March skiing. Only one short stretch with some frozen run-off that could be easily avoided. Overall, conditions were fair.
I stopped at Soldiers Field and Eastwood first and was disappointed to see neither had been groomed in some time. It seems difficult to find grooming information in Rochester. Let's make a resolution for next ski season, post more trail reports!

Conditions are great at Quarry Hill! The snow is firm in most spots and the trail is almost completely debris and leaf free.

Fantastic conditions Saturday morning. Trails are setting up well. Great grooming with classic tracks set on all the trails. We skied all the loops, excellent coverage everywhere. Thank you groomers!

Yesterday's snow left Rochester with beautiful ski conditions. Quarry Hill is groomed well and classic tracks are set where possible. Some of the uphills are a little icy where the snow did not settle well. Beware of the occasional stick peeking through the snow.

Really icy conditions with bare spots. A light dusting but not worth skiing. They have closed their rentals for now.

Super fun rock ski conditions for skating at Quarry Hill! Really nice gentle grooming, no major ice to worry about, and the North Park upper loops are super fun with just enough coverage for continuous loops. No classic tracks anywhere, however. Great Christmas present!

Beautiful ski today in a hoarfrost wonderland. The bit of frozen fog made the snow very fast at 30F. Coverage is good with just a little dirt exposed under a few evergreens. Tracks are in good condition on most of the circuit which has been lightly trafficked. The worn spots are easily avoided. Get it while you can!

Had a wonderful ski at Quarry Hill today. The coverage is good with very few leaves and sticks on the trail. Many skiers out enjoying the nice day. Thank you to the Rochester groomers!
