What is a beautiful day to cross country ski in the tracks at Perrot State Park. There were lots of birds in the trees and I saw my first robin today! I highly recommend skiing on these trails. You need a pass for the state park but it's well worth it.

Classic tracks still in decent shape. Complete snow cover but lots of leaves and tree debris on bay trail through campground and the short loop behind maintenance shed.

Tried Perrot again to find recent grooming and quite a bit of use in the campground trails. Skate lanes appear rough though still. Beware of numerous curves and downhills with tracks that shouldn't have tracks. Trails are a good change of scenery.

A lot of potential here at Perrot. Today there were a few inches of new snow over old grooming. The old track was generally good. Looking at the skating trails in the campground area, they did not look enjoyable. Skiing in the bluffs, there's a ton of up-and-down and good views, but be very careful on downhills. Looks like most who ski here walk a lot of the downhills.

Skied the Bay trail. It was a little icy in spots, and some areas of track in poor condition. Overall, good conditions, and a beautiful day to be out!

Did a few nice laps on the Bay Trail loop (2.5mi). Packing quality seemed good for the skate skiers, classic tracks were a bit soft -- good with Tuesday's temps.

Some thin spots under the trees but overall surprisingly good coverage! Looked like it had just been groomed (campground area).
