Grooming Scheduling
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
Park staff groomed and tracked the Pipeline Loop for skate and classic. About 85% of the trail was double-tracked along the perimeter. This will be the last grooming for the season due to warming conditions and ongoing equipment issues. The park received about 190 inches of snowfall so far, with an average base of 37 inches remaining throughout most of the park. After two years of borrowing equipment, we hope to finally have our own equipment again next winter; the Friends of Copper Falls SP are really close on the goal of purchasing a new snowmobile. Thank you to the two dozen volunteers that made groomed ski trails possible this winter; without your efforts it wouldn't have been possible. Have a great spring!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
We received 12" of wet snow on Monday. It was tough to pack so we waited on grooming until this morning. We were able to groom and track the Pipeline Loop, accessed from the Office Lot, Loon Lake Lot, or Ballfield Lot. Turned out to be very firm skate deck and moderate-depth stride track. This might be the last grooming of the season. So get out and enjoy the trail.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Groomed Meadow, Pipeline and Red Granite Loops today. Each in good condition, but expect tracks and skate decks to be soft throughout the park. FYI: The Friends of Copper Falls State Park are fundraising to purchase a new grooming snowmobile, replacing our 23 year old machine. Please visit their website for more info.

Good conditions, but we're in a freeze-thaw cycle right now. At 9:45 this morning the trails, which somewhat icy. By 12:30 the skiing was good as the surface had softened up. There's still a ton of snow here!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Groomed Meadow, Pipeline and Red Granite Loops tonight; each in good condition. About 3" of wet snow fell earlier throughout the day. They were firming up well after sunset. Stride-only trails, Vahtera and Takesson, were last tracked last Thursday. Expect a dusting of new snow on all trails in the morning. Grooming plans: Given the warmer conditions this week, next possible grooming might be Friday.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All trails have been groomed and are in excellent condition. Both stride-only trails have deep, firm, steady tracks. Both combi trails have been double tracked for most of the length. Red Granite Falls Loop has been partially tracked where possible, normally only groomed for skate and snowshoe. We were fortunate enough to have Colleen, Tom, and James all out grooming today. Conditions are the most perfect for the season so far. Such a treat! Be sure to get outside and enjoy them. Happy skiing!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Groomed Pipeline and Meadow Loops this morning; turned out much better than expected. Things had been soft over the weekend so we groomed throughout Monday's snowfall and were unsure how it would set. Double track set throughout both trails, in good to excellent condition. Red Granite Falls Loop hasn't been touched, too warm now. Both stride-only trails, Vahtera and Takesson (the riverside trail) were tracked today. Grooming Plans: On Thursday we will groom all combi trails and plan to reset track on the stride-only trails. Have a great time enjoying these spring-like conditions!”

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Volunteer crew member groomed up Meadow and Pipeline trails -- skate deck combed and set classic tracks. Tomorrow morning it should be nice and fast! These trails would be an excellent pre-Birkie warm-up or post -Birkie cool down. Classic-only trails (Vahterra and Takesson) not groomed but very skiable. We are waiting to see the outcome of this next storm for more grooming updates. Get out and enjoy this beautiful park!
