Notes

Some of the best trails in southern Minnesota. Tucked in the valley behind the school, the trails run around the northern slopes of the valley making them quite challenging and also well protected from the sun. Some lighted sections, and snowmaking operations.

Grooming Scheduling
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Trail conditions have began to deteriorate without new snow. We have groomed as best we can on the skate deck. The classic tracks are old and we cannot reset them without more snow. Grass and some dirt is beginning to show. The upper elevations are much better. A high school ski meet with 6 teams is scheduled for this Saturday, Dec 15th, starting mid morning. We expect 150+ skiers. Please be cautious and respect the racers.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Groomed all trails this morning. I set classic track on almost all trails. The tracks range from very good to very poor depending on snow depth. Several areas have extreme amounts of leaves. If you have waxless classic or hairies that would be a consideration. The skate deck is very firm with some isolated areas of ice and dirt showing but overall it's very skiable and fast.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Lightly groomed the main trail and parts of Rattlesnake. Snow conditions vary from very good to hard pack with some ice but all trails are open. The connecting trail from the upper parking lot should be avoided. Please park in the lower parking lot in Yon's Valley.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Snow packing and grooming completed on all trails. Conditions vary from very good on the higher elevation segments to marginal on the lowest trails. Some classic track has been set but very limited. Many small sticks on the trail and some areas have a lot of oak tree leaves. The skate deck on Rattlesnake to the end of Upper trail is very good to still soft but with overnight cold temps it may firm up. The new beginner loop with man-made snow and connecting loops are very good.
