Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
All trails were re-groomed Thursday evening. A single track was put in throughout most of the trail system - and the skate deck was smoothed out. The trail is in the best shape of the year! Get out and ski this weekend before the warm up!

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
With about 2-3" inches of new fluffy snow, I regroomed the entire 7 km system. The trail is in its best shape of the year but there are still a few grassy spots showing - thus my B ski rating. The skate deck is firm and flat. I also double tracked most of the trails and most of the tracks are deep and firm.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
Regroomed the 7 km golf course trails after about an inch of new powder snow. Most of the trails have good snow coverage; however beware of a few low snow areas under trees. That is why I still recommend rock skis. I shoveled and packed snow onto the trail by the trail head and that helped a lot. I also set track on some trail sections for the first time. They looked pretty good. The skate deck is wide with a fairly smooth corduroy. Enjoy!

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
I groomed the trails after the wet snow dried out to minimize icy conditions and opened the trails for the first time this winter. I did not set tracks due to the varied and minimal snow depths in spots. The trails smoothed out fairly well though - and while I was grooming we had a snow squall that dumped almost an inch of new snow on top. Unfortunately it was windy and due to the open nature of the golf course, I bet the trails have some drifts in spots. Most of the trail system has good snow cover, but because there were still a few areas with low snow conditions under some trees, one small bare patch by the trail head and a few icy spots to beware of - I am still recommending rock skis.
