Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Grooming is in progress this morning after a nice dumping of snow. Most will be ready to ski Friday afternoon. Skiing should be great this weekend, although we anticipate it may be soft due to the amount of new snow we are working with.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We received 3-4" of snow. Grooming plans: We are packing the trails today. Then we will see how much snow we get Thursday and groom again as needed.

Beautiful. Firm classic track on each loop we tried. A few soft spots on skate deck, snow depth a bit shallow, but good coverage overall. Thank you, CASTA!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
On Monday afternoon we groomed and tracked all of the trails, except the Ridge Run and Alternative Trail, which we plan to groom today. We don't recommend skiing during this dangerous cold weather, but we hope to have the trails ready for good skiing when it warms up this weekend. Stay warm!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Conditions are improving, but still rough. Thursday evening most trails were packed and tracks were set, except the multi-use Alternate Trail and the Ridge Run, which will hopefully be groomed on Friday. We are doing the best we can with limited snow and vehicle damage on a few trails. Bundle up and enjoy the trails.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
About an inch or more of new fluffy snow on top of an uneven, icy base. It is skiable and better than before, but we need more snow to make it good. Use caution and think snow.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Both
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Poor conditions. There is 100% snow cover, but the trails are very rough and icy! The base is solid - we only need a little snow to be back in business. The trails are open, but don't expect good skiing at this time.

Grooming

Unfortunately, the snow we were hoping for last night came as rain and mixed precipitation. We still have a snow base, but expect very icy conditions until we receive more snow. We don't think we have enough snow right now to re-groom. Think Snow.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
The trails are still definitely skiable and I had a good ski this afternoon. But they are getting rough and icy in many areas. We are hoping for more snow before we groom again. Think Snow.

We were pleasantly surprised to find a uniform base and dusting of fresh snow with great glide on New Year's Day. Went out on Odden's Ridge with touring skis, and really enjoyed gliding down the longer downhill runs. There was no possibility of skiing in Hudson, but when we reached Cumberland we had crossed into the snowy Northwoods. If you can be happy with snow and the opportunity to ski some loops without scraping gravel, we enthusiastically recommend these trails at least until the next thaw.
