Conditions were excellent this morning. Was glad to see that the Little Alps were groomed this morning. Alps unfortunately sustained vandalism due to truck that drove on the trail system last night. The word on the trail is that the groomer caught the culprits in the act in the very early hours of the morning. Caution: Deep ruts on the very last decent caused by the trespassing truck. The truck didn't make the climb and apparently backed out and proceeded back on the bushwhacker trail segments. Groomer had made repairs to most all areas damaged prior to sunrise but the alps. Very thankful for another go of the Alps, technically closed due to the vandalism, safety concerns. Great work groomers. Fresh wolf tracks and deer kill on the alps. Also spotted the wolf tracks again on marsh meadow nearest 4 mile creek bottom edge. Looked to me like a single lone wolf.

The alps were not groomed due to someone driving a truck on trails through half of the trails. The little alps were groomed but not all truck ruts could be removed --very sketchy. The skate deck was fixed, awesome in most all areas. The classic tracks were mainly glazed. The marsh trail skate deck was great but classic track glazed. The same for trail T. The chalet attendant said due to the time it took to fix the skate deck, the classic trails were left until tomorrow morning.

All trails were groomed for skate this morning. Classic tracks were groomed yesterday. The 10k has been very fun the last few days. We had 5" on Thursday night. Grooming plans: We will be grooming tomorrow morning.

10 k, 6k and lit trails were groomed this morning with track red set on 10k. It was a double pole kind of afternoon when it got above freezing. Grooming plans: Groomer will be back out Saturday morning.

Glad I stopped for a quick loop on the lighted trail! Trees were simply glistening in the sun with yesterday's ice. The classic tracks were well set, relatively fast and smooth considering the warmer temps, brightly glowing with the fallen pieces of ice. Excellent conditions!

Trails were regroomed and tracked overnight. The alps and little alps will remain closed due to the ice under the snow. Come shake the Birkie stiffness out of your legs.
