Big thank you to Wausau Nordic Ski Club for great free lesson and trail use Tuesday night. Excellent grooming both skate and classic with only occasional oak leaf here and there despite no recent snowfall. Exceeded my expectations and enjoyed their hosplitality! Well worth the two hour drive and overnight stay.

Trails were groomed and track re-set today. Skiing was slow due to the temps but we had a great group of kids and adults in lessons tonight. Snow was nice.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All trails are now clear of brush and trees, yahoo! Lots of people put in a lot of work. Interior trails are better than trail R due to a bit of uneven skate deck and wobbly classic tracks on R and marsh. We tried our skins which had trouble with the sugar snow inch or two which fell yesterday. I would definitely skate next time. No visible dirt anywhere, and the dreaded oak leaves what can you say. Interior trails with skate skis would be good.

We regroomed all open trails today. Fresh snow last night made the classic a little faster than the skate today.

Crew did a great job of clearing debris from trails-skied the 20km loop. Great cover, solid base with 1" new snow coming down. Other than being slow, it was great!

Lighted Loop, 6k and 10k have been re-groomed. Both the skate deck and classic tracks are in good shape. Clean up from the winter ice storm has finished, but grooming work on the 20k and Alps continues.

Skiing has been wonderful since our last snow. Trails were regroomed today and are just flat out fun for beginners and experienced skiers. I was the last one out this evening- so nice to hear "nothing". We had 80 plus kids in our youngest ski class yesterday.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Trails were re-groomed and tracked today. They are currently soft but should firm up overnight. We opened the rest of the 20k. Bushwhacker and marsh meadow are still bumpy but the rest of the trails are in good shape.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, Rock skis ]
Skied in the rain. The lighted loops were skiable, however, bumpy from the most recent groom. There were some good snow patches within the lighted loop segments, including X and the "field of dreams".

All trails were regroomed today. Skiing was fast. Grip was good in track and skating did not slip on ice much. Occasional ice patches and an occasional needle clump on the 10 k. 10 k is a little bumpy on hills. Leo's and Y were beautiful. Lit was in good shape. Alps and bushwhacked are still closed.
