The lighted loop was ok with good control. The 10 k should be closed, the "T" was a sheet of ice. Lots of storm damage has been cleaned up.

Trails are partially open but I don't recommend skiing until trails can be groomed with new snow. Personally did not feel safe due to icy conditions and the amount of debris on the trails. Did ski Leo's loop for the first time this year and seeing all the work that the volunteers have accomplished making progress allowing for segments to open is really impressive. Thank you! Now We need help from mother nature. I hope to get out and help with trail work on my next trip out to nine mile.

Crews cleared trail C (Leo's Loop) yesterday and that segment is now open in addition the 6k and lighted loop. The balance of the 10k is cleared but remains closed as we are unable to groom with current temperatures. The balance of the 10k will be groomed Saturday morning and open for use at that time.

Most of the trails are still closed. The lighted loop Y and b1 were good. T was open but rutted up. Sometimes it was easier to double pole in the track rather than ski on the rutted up skate deck. Much of the trail was groomed after 10 AM when it was 30 F which gave predictable results.

We continue to open trails. The crews cleared Leo's loop today and got most of debris off the rest of the system so it is looking much better. Grooming plans: Tomorrow we will be working on the west side of the 10k. All of the easy trails and lit trails are now open and very skiable. We have awesome volunteers.

Things are getting better and better. Great day for skiing at Nine Mile. There is still some debris, but the amount that has been removed even since yesterday is remarkable. Thank you so much to the groomers and others who are cleaning up. There were quite a few people out today including several groups of beginners. All the hard work on the trails helped give the beginners a great introduction to skiing.

Crews of volunteers and staff have been working diligently to clear tree debris from the system. Currently, the 6K and lighted loop are cleared and groomed. Only one pass on trail T to this point, but grooming is planned for tomorrow morning. The next area to clear will be trail C (Leo's Loop). There is still debris on the trails that is getting pulled up by the implements, but overall the trails that are open are in fair to good conditions. The following trails are open and tracked: Mainstreet, lit loop, M, Y, and D. The snow has nice grain and both skate and classic were medium speed. There is a lot of debris such as twigs and leaves on the trails but it is so beautiful it was easy to ignore. We continue to clear the other trails of debris and hope to open more soon. Snowshoe and the new snow bike trail trails are open.

Stopped and spoke to attendant. We were told 3 km were open. Skiers had tried in the morning but left due to dissatisfaction with conditions. They planned to get more trails open as soon as possible.

With the recent rain, ice and snow, Nine Mile has experienced a tremendous amount of damage. Today we were able to get part of the lighted loop cut and cleared. Grooming plans: We will have a groomer out tomorrow to roll that loop. Cleanup will continue and we will open more loops as they are cleared.
