ABR is a full service touring center, located on scenic and varied terrain along the Montreal River in Ironwood Michigan. Trailhead cabin, retail ski shop, rentals and lessons available. They have state of the art grooming equipment, including Pisten Bully powertillers, and groom daily. Open at 9 AM daily from November to April 1st.

Grooming Scheduling 
Conditions: Trails are still not skiable again after last weeks melt.
We are packing the trails daily and driving the frost into the base so it should not take too much more snow to get us open.

Conditions: Trails skied well today until 1 pm. Then the warm temps melted us out. Too many bare spots to reopen for Sunday. We will wait until we get more snow for reopening.

Morning
Grooming Scheduling 
Conditions: The 5 km of trails groomed up OK this early morning. There are some bare spots and dirt and grass areas but the trail is skiable and the woods are very scenic. I set 4 km of classic tracks as well.
We will be open Saturday and expect the snow to melt later this afternoon.

Evening
Grooming Scheduling 
Conditions: ABR Trails received about 8 inches of snow today and last night. We started packing this morning and are just coming off the trails tonight at 9:30 with a temp of 18 F the trail base is forming. We are planning to only open the River Trail which is a 4k to 5 k loop. We will be back out in the early morning to do the final grooming. With the warm temps forecast I see this as a Saturday opening and closing Sunday....get in your first ski while you can.
ABR Ski Shop sale continues 10-4 this weekend.
