On Monday, with the help from volunteer Robb Pike, we cut open Flagpole Hill trail. After 6" of new snow on Wednesday, I performed more cutting of oak trees bent over the trail and made three passes with the 5' roller on the outer loop and Flagpole Hill. Snow needs to set up. Grooming plans: Plans are to groom and set track on Friday morning.

Firsthand: Freestyle Lost/Found
[ B skis ]
Here for the weekend and wanted to check this trail out. It was recently groomed and down trees cleared away. The skate deck was very firm and good. I rated B skis because there is a lot of debris on the trail. It looks like the groomers did an awesome job cleaning up down trees. I found some sunglasses and left them at the trailhead (pic). It was a fun ski and the trail had a lot of uphills and downhills. Good workout.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
What a difference from yesterdsy morning! I took the 7' wide ginzu groomer around the 5 km outer loop 3 passes. Twice on rhe skate deck and once for setting a pretty good track overall. Cooler overnight temps really allowed the base to set up. Interior segments still not cut open. Best skiing will be in cooler morning temps.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Three grooming professionals with help from Hal Leland cut open the outer 5km loop. Pulled a roller during the cutting and made 2 additional rounds with roller. Soft snow in the 28 degree temps, so allowing deck to setup overnight. Plans are to pull the 7' wide ginzu up (and down) those big hills Friday morning and hit the skate lane more and set track.
