We groomed all the Rock Lake trails (except the 16K and Rock Lake trail) this morning, using the rakes to break up the old icy tracks and setting new tracks with the fresh 2 to 3" new powder. The tracks are shallow in places, but considering the conditions, they are not too bad. Some debris worked its way to the surface, but overall conditions are good and it's a great day to get back out on the trails! We'll do our best to get out as soon as possible to groom any fresh snow, enjoy!

We skied on the groomed classic 2K loop which was a bit icy but lovely with the blue sky and sunbeams! The 4K loop was icy and fast on the downhills. Hills are a bit of a challenge to climb with the ice. However, there are always lovely unexpected views and turns that make you want more! Enjoy!

Warms temps and rain did not help ski trail conditions. The trail is a solid block of ice. We weren't sure how it was going to go, but tried breaking up the ice with the knives on the 2 Km loop. It didn't work! The tracks are very crumbly and shallow. The tracks from last week are still there on the rest of the loops but icy. We will groom again after we get more snow. The snowshoe trails at Rock Lake are always a fun adventure.

Rock Lake is Classic rockin'. New tracks, fast snow. Thanks NFS. Great place for windy warmer weather, the forest blocks it!

We skiied behind the groomer today! They managed to clean up a lot of debris. The new tracks were excellent. We were too early to enjoy the 11km loop, but now all loops up to 11 km should be finished. They still are not opening the Rock Lake or 16km loops. [ As previously noted, the Rock Lake and 16K loops aren't being maintained this season -- Ed. ]

Nice day of grooming out at Rock Lake. We ground up the old tracks with the groomer knives and reset tracks. The tracks are good in places, but also shallow and crumbly in others. The warming temps aren't helping us, and some fresh snow would be great! The 16Km and Rock Lake loop aren't being maintained this year. Good luck to those racing this weekend!

Good tracks, pretty fast snow. Everything groomed but loop around Rock Lake and outer part of 16K. Some pine debris in track but not bad.

We had a dusting of new snow up at Rock Lake. Tore up the old tracks and re-tracked. They seemed to go in decent and certainly are better than they were. There is some debris from the winds we had yesterday but nothing too bad. The tracks should set up quick with cold temps, and the trail should be in good shape for the nicer weather we are getting this weekend. All loops tracked except the 16k and Rock Lake loop.
