Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Regular snowfall and cold temps are just what we groomers love! Trails are getting better everyday. We are now Ginzu grooming the entire system so our base is quite good.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
We received around an inch of fresh fluffy snow overnight and we took out our big Ginzu for the first time this year. Groomed A,B,C,D,I and Z this morning. Trails are getting very close to mid winter condition. We are still recommending B skis only because of the very few spots where logging was done this summer and a few dirt clumps are popping up. I'd say 98% of the trail system is mid winter conditions. We are open everyday all through the Holidays so don't hesitate to pay us a visit. Our trails are in very good shape and the Lodge is always warm!

Night
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
We got around 6 inches of fresh snow last night and today. Rolled and tracked all loops except for H trail. H had some standing water after the brief warm spell. Did some extra work on Z trail to flatten things out a bit. Trails are looking really good!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
We opened up H trail and Worels Woods today. It looks good. There is some thin and icy spots down there but totally skiable. No tracks through there either. Our system is now completed and we are working on getting things flattened out. Skate lanes are getting very good. Get out and check it out!

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Our Groomer Dan has put a lot of work in the trails this past week and things have paid off. We have been getting several inches of lake effect snow each day, so he has worked that in and now has time to fine tune. Worel's Wood's was packed yesterday, so will be open in a day or two. We are in great shape for Christmas week. The snow shoe trail is packed and ready for some iPhone photos of your family.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
We now have a solid 3 inch base. Rolled and tracked Z trail today and packed I and all of G too. Will set some track on those tomorrow. H trail is next on the list so we should have our entire trail system groomed soon. Good crowds of skiers showing up for their first skis of the year!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Rock skis ]
Still getting snow daily and cold temps are helping freeze our numerous water holes but it remains a battle! Trail conditions are improving daily. Packed Z trail today and plan to work on G loops tomorrow. Rolled and set tracks on B,C,D,Y and W today. Lodge is open and we will be grooming daily.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Rock skis ]
We now have A,B,C,D,G return, and Y open and tracked. One big water hole on Y at the X intersection but easy to get around. Tracks on Y are really good as are all the other tracks that are set. Worked on the X cut across and W today. Big water hole on X but should freeze well after packing and shoveling today. W is rolled but closed because of too many water holes. More snow and cold temps will help us there too. Lots of good skiing out there right now. Come on out!

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Set tracks on A,C,D,B backwards to Z then up Heart Attack and back on G return. Overall really good conditions with a few rough spots here and there. Also started to work on Y and W but a lot of water in a few spots. Should be able to set track on those tomorrow. Lots of work getting those mud holes frozen but some real cold nights coming will help. Thanks to the NMU Ski Team for coming over and getting in some good K's before Sundays race in Houghton.

Night
Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, Rock skis ]
We received some significant snowfall last night and today. We rolled and packed around 8k and packed 12k or so. We will set track on some of it in the morning so ski season is here! We do have some rough areas with some ruts and frozen mud holes but overall pretty good. We will continue to work on opening up new trails everyday so with more snow in the forecast things are looking quite good.
