Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Trails are in really nice condition right now. These warmer days have had little impact on them. The high quality snow we have gotten and cold overnight temps are helping. Classic tracks are holding their shape very well but are becoming glazed from normal use. Skate lanes are excellent. Groomed skate lanes on some interior loops and both big downhills coming into the lodge this morning.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Trails are shaping up nice. Groomed all skate lanes this morning, some twice. We now have around 85% of the system groomed. Bay Nordics were there early again today training and enjoying the fresh grooming. So nice to see these young skiers out participating in this great sport.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Overall conditions are quite good. Classic tracks are 90% excellent with the other 10% thin in some of the low spots. They skied fast today with Blue Extra. Skate lanes are mostly very good to excellent with some low spots where the groomer track shows through due to the truck ruts on the trails. The logging operations from the USFS timber sale have done some damage and it takes a fair amount of snow and grooms the whip it into shape. Very good, typical early season conditions.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Finish groomed A,B,C,D,G,X,Y and W today. The trails are starting to shape up nicely with most sections in excellent shape for classic and skate. The first turn on B at the bottom of the hill from the lodge is still rough with no track. Double pole through there is the best bet and the rest is pretty good. Lots of happy skiers out there today with great trails and lots of sunshine.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Groomed A,C,D,G,X,Y and W this morning. Also opened up B and set track on that. We are getting snow today so will be grooming everything in the morning. It will be a while before we can get through Worels Woods on H. Will try to get Z open in the next couple of days as well. We are just now getting enough base to start using the Big Ginzu for finish grooming and that will flatten things out nicely. Lodge is now open for the season.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Opened up C,Y,W and most of G loop today. Will set track on those tomorrow. The base on these loops is not as deep as loops that have been groomed so would still recommend rock skis. Please remember to use caution when skiing hilly sections in the early season when the terrain is still uneven. We have lots of snow and a pretty good base so the skiing is quite good and getting better everyday.

Wet heavy snow, 4-5" on Sunday. Dan re-groomed on Monday, so classic tracks were very good yesterday and today. More trails will be opened each day.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Dan provided some great classic tracks after 3-4" of lake effect snow on Tuesday. We still had a frozen base underneath after last weekends rain. Swix 55, or Start Oslo purple provides kick. Skin tecs were working well.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
We did get around 3 inches yesterday and overnight. Groomed A,B into H junction and back out,D and X. Still rock ski conditions but for the most part pretty darn good. Still need quite a bit of snow to start dragging the trails flat. The Lodge opens December 1st and deer season is over then as well so as we get snow and freezing temps we will work toward getting the entire system open ASAP.
