Observation
Conditions: Greenbush has been completely groomed all around and looks great for both skating and striding. I drove over without my skis just to see if it was open, and the skiers in the warming hut confirmed that the trails are as good as they look.
Thanks to the groomers, we're back up with great skiing conditions.

Grooming Scheduling
[ B skis ]
Conditions: Trails Still closed. The Greenbush Ski Trails will remain closed through the weekend in order to allow the wet snow to firm up before grooming continues.
Recent warm temperatures have made the skiing surface extremely soft. Use of the trail at this time will create deep grooves, which will be difficult for groomers to remove once temperatures return to freezing.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Very good firm good coverage, but a little soft.
Skied purple and green trails between 8:30 and 11 am. There was 1/2 inch to one inch of new ungroomed snow since Tuesday. Snow was warm and a little soft and slow. Coverage was very good with little to no debris.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ B skis ]
Trails at Greenbush continue to be very good for both classic and skate. Red and purple trails had tracks reset on Tuesday and are very good for classic. A few leaves are beginning to show up as of Wednesday. If we get the rain that is forecast for Thursday afternoon please stay off the trails while they are soft. With the cold weather forecast for next Sunday groomers will not be able to groom out any ruts you create.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ B skis ]
Conditions: Heavily skied trails have taken a toll on grooming. Trails were hard packed, beginning to crown, various huge divots as well as areas of footprints. Numerous downhills have uncontrollable berms.
It would appear that significant grooming was not done as of Wednesday, although numerous "touchups" have occurred over the past few days.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Excellent conditions on all trails today.
Last week's storm dumped almost a foot of wet snow. The usual fantastic grooming has tracks everywhere and solid skate deck. Only one spot needs to be skied around: towards end of Green Trail there's grunge coming up from the ground where grooming machine broke down.

Firsthand: Classic

Classic skied the purple and green loops. Plenty of snow and very well groomed. No debris on the trails. Classic tracks deep and firm all around. Good kick and glide with Swix blue. Skating deck looks good too, perhaps just a little soft.
