Trail Detail
Notes
Located 18 miles north of Duluth, the groomed trails are in nice primitive outdoor setting. The trails feature the "Wolfski's Ski Den" warming shack, open daily sunrise to sunset. In addition to the 21 kilometers of classical skiing, there will also be 11 kilometers groomed for skate-skiing. Trails are groomed Fridays and Mondays, and/or as needed. No fee or Minnesota State Ski Pass is required.Trail Reports

Skated Nine Pines by head lamp. The skate bed has firmed up nicely and the classical tracks are all set in place. A lovely evening in the woods!

Skied the Lonesome Grouse loop twice. Nicely groomed with beautiful snow covered tree branches all the way. Temperature around 14F with very light snow falling. Pole plants somewhat soft at times on the outside but pretty good between the two sets of tracks. Only saw one other skier skate skiing the other loops.

Nearly bare ground to full-on mid-winter in 48 hours? I'll take it! Boulder was pretty awesome today. Was it soft? Yeah, it was a little soft. But it was the proverbial Winter Wonderland! It was dog day today. After another grooming I think it's going to be spectacular.

Groomed for skate and classic. A little soft yet but very nice overall.
