Grooming Scheduling
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The trails at Spirit are in good condition. Some dirt patchs persist but are easily avoided. The track-setter will be fixed in the next couple of days, therefore, the whole system is currently groomed for skating.
Grooming plans: A track will be groomed in tomorrow morning on all trails including the Campground loop (1.5K), 3k and 10k. Spirit Mountain Nordic Ski Trails will be closed Saturday morning from 9AM to noon for the Frosty Fat Bike race. Trails will reopen after the race is completed.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
As usual, the campground loop is in great shape, no rocks, solid classic track. Once you venture out further expect to find very twiggy and bumpy trails with an occasional rock popping through. I skied the 3k and most of the 10k, and the 3k was generally much more even with less obstacles poking through. I would say most of the trail system is on the edge of B skis and rock skis. Unless you want to do endless loops of the campground, I would venture elsewhere.

Evening
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, Rock skis ]
Spirit Nordic Center's 3k and campground loops are groomed and open. The campground has a shallow classic track. The trails were a bit soft but coverage was better than I expected. B skis could be used on the 3k but the campground would be better to use rock skis on due to the softer track.
