Chester was groomed and in perfect shape. Only the upper loop was groomed. It was tilled with the big pisten bully and it was smooth and level. The humid snow set quickly and skating was really fast. Fantastic skiing!

Skied around Chester Bowl in the new powder. It looked like about 6 inches of new snow freshening up the trail. It was not groomed -- I'm not sure why. The downhill was groomed. Hopefully Wednesday or Thursday?

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Pretty good. Firm and flat deck. Plenty of foot traffic, however the deck is hard enough that the skiing wasn't too impacted. The ice flow on the hill bypass has grown considerably in the past week, such that I suggest avoiding that section. I skied on good skis, but there are enough dirt patches to warrant B skis.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Chester Park has been groomed. Good conditions some dirt poking through in areas. Large ice section on the hill bypass by Chester Creek. Use caution on the steep downhill in that same area as it received full sun last Friday and was very icy. We worked that section quite a bit but if it gets snowplowed right away it will be down to ice again.

Chester groomed. Trails grooming up well with this new snow. Use caution at the top of the hill at Chester just before the ski hill as there are a couple holes and it is very uneven from drifting snow. This will be smoothed out in the next few days.

Chester groomed, no tracks set. All trails are in good shape. Use caution as some areas have an icy layer under this new snow.
