It keeps getting better. I skated the NE trails yesterday and did classic this morning. Groomer was out ahead of me this morning as noted in other reports. Over the past week there has been 6-8" of fresh snow. Coverage is good everywhere. The skate deck was a little soft but the continued use and grooming should firm it up. Classic track was deep and pretty firm. It is a winter wonderland out there with lots of fluffy snow on the pines and overhanging trees.

We have received about 2 inches of new snow today. A groomer is scheduled to go out tomorrow at 9am to groom the main trail skate and classic.

Classic skied all the NE main trail and part of the classic only trail. Tracks are firm and deep with mid-winter conditions. I noticed the skaters were punching through on some climbs but the trail is leveling out nicely and will firm up with each grooming. We did add a little over an inch of new snow today.

Update on the classic only trail: The overhanging brush was cleaned up and tracks were set on the entire trail. Hopefully will set up nicely overnight and be great in the morning.

We received about 6 inches of new snow overnight and this morning. Trails were rolled first and then the crew combed the skate lane and set track this afternoon. The trails are much improved with the new snow. I do not have an update on the status of the classic only trail which was still being brushed today by another crew member.

We received only about one inch of snow overnight and this morning but it helped cover some of the pine needles and other debris in the tracks. The skate lanes were combed out this afternoon, the trail remains uneven due to insufficient snow. The tracks were not reset but are cleaner now. A little more snow would allow us to reset the tracks.

North End Trails were groomed this morning for skate and classic. Skate lanes are uneven and there is some debris in the tracks in some places. Some brush is still hanging in the trail, especially the section south of Timber Trail Road, and will be cut asap.

I skied a variety of the NE trails and a little of the Birkie trail both yesterday and today. The main NE trail that was rolled and groomed right after the snow is pretty firm with good coverage. There is some grass/dirt showing but it is covered enough to ski over it. Classic tracks look good with areas of grass/dirt on occasion but you should be able to ski through them. The trails that were only rolled or the Birkie trail that was groomed a couple hours ago are softer but still skiable. I rated it as "Rock Skis" but if you are careful you could probably use "B" skis.
The North End Club has done a great job of taking advantage of this first snow.

The tracks were mostly good with pine needles and leaves occasionally. There is some brush and branches hanging in the classic lane but the skate lane, which is quite uneven, looked clear of anything hanging in the trail. Only 7k are tracked as of this afternoon. I could see the classic only trail had been skied in but only about 6k. Overall the skiing was fair to good in places and should only improve as more trail clearing and grooming is done the next few days.
