Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
This afternoon I skied the A and B loops of the North End trails. Trails are freshly groomed but super soft as the catch up with the 8+ inches of new snow they got since last Saturday. There were no classic tracks set while I was skiing but on my way back in I passed one of the groomers heading out and setting classic tracks.

Skied several loops of the North End classic trail just before noon. Beautiful scenery and nice place, but pretty disappointed no classic tracks set.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
The main loops at the NE was groomed for skate and classic today. There is some debris because of the wind we experienced Sunday. The NE classic is open only for back country skiing. It has been partially rolled but snow drifts have delayed further grooming. The Tony Wise trail has not been groomed and has deep snow covering all the trail.

The main NE trail was combed this afternoon, tracks were not reset. The trail is still soft. The Tony Wise has not been groomed since the recent snowfall. The Classic trail has been rolled only. The Birkie cuts through the NE trail system and the Birkie Classic shares trail with the NE, please respect the Birkie race trails and the racers on Saturday.

[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The NE received yet another 7+ inches on Wednesday. Today the main loop was rolled and groomed for skate and classic, but the trail is very soft. The NE Classic trail was rolled but not tracked and the Tony Wise was not touched. Reminder: the Birkie and Birkie Classic both share trail with the North End and will be used for the race Saturday. The North End trails are open tomorrow and Saturday but please respect the Birkie sections once they are groomed for the race.

Thanks for the fresh grooming on the skate lanes. Joanie and I skated the 12k main trail starting at 9 a.m. and were the first ones on most of the trail. It was a really fun trail to skate, with numerous hills and some nice big pines.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All the trails are open but not groomed. We received 10+ inches of new snow up until about 4pm today and it has started snowing hard again. The main loop was rolled this afternoon and the rest of the trails are untouched. We will try and get the trails groomed as soon as possible.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Received another 3+ inches of snow overnight. The main loop was rolled, combed and tracked today with the exception of the A and B cutoffs. The NE Classic was rolled but no track set. The Tony Wise was rolled and an attempt to comb it out was made with poor results as the deep soft snow buried the groomer on several hills. Grooming will commence again after the expected snow tomorrow ends.
