Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All loops cut twice and tracked with mixed results. The granular icy snow base left a soft track set. Shallow chunky tracks set under the heavy conifers. Fair to good conditions.

All loops have been tracked. The warming temps softened the base making it difficult to make turns. Currently very good conditions.

[ Good skis ]
Trail has not been groomed since the last snowfall Friday evening Saturday morning. However, the last grooming plus about 3-4" of new snow and heavy use have put the trails in surprisingly good condition other than the red loop which is a challenge even with excellent snow conditions. I skied the red, blue, and green loops. Again, the red loop is skiable but my ski tips kept getting caught under the hard crusty snow whenever I had to herringbone. The blue and green loops were in good shape considering they were last groomed last Thursday. Skiing here today was much more enjoyable than it was last Wednesday. I only fell once on that steep hill by the lake on the northernmost part of the red loop.

I skied both the blue and the green loops twice around. I consider myself a pretty good skier but I fell five times on the first round and twice on the second round. Unfortunately, trail conditions were such that there was a total lack of control on the downhill sections, even the ones that had been dragged instead of tracked. It is skiable but you will want to be cautious on the downhill sections. I sidestepped the steepest downhills part of the way down. The trails are skiable if you are cautious on the downhill sections and not afraid to fall on some. Otherwise, you might want to wait until we get some more snow.
